Inside city limits, a 2021 zoning rule lets one boat sit outdoors on a home lot. It must be your own, in the side or rear yard, at least 5 feet from every lot line. A second boat outdoors, or a friend's, must go elsewhere, such as our 20-foot units on North Parkdale Lane in Denison, about 17 miles by US 69 and FM 120. Measure your side and rear yards before you bring a boat home.

The limit is 40 feet, under the 2022 city code, which bars any vehicle over 40 feet from parking in a residentially zoned district. Measure yours, bumper to bumper, before you bring it home.
