Most likely, since the Self Storage Association says virtually all self-storage rentals run month to month, with either side able to end the agreement on at least 30 days' written notice. Your rental agreement sets the exact terms here, so read it when you rent online.
Texas requires a mover to hold an active certificate from the Texas Department of Motor Vehicles (TxDMV) and give you a written proposal before loading. Also check what the mover pays if something breaks, because a mover and customer can agree to limit it, for example to 60 cents per pound per item. Ask for that limit in writing before your things are loaded.
Drive-up units start at $50 a month for a 5x10, and the first 2 months are 75% off until December 31, 2026. Your cost depends on the size, whether you pick climate control, and how long you stay. See the price list.
Pack only dry things, because North Dakota State University Extension warns that boxed items stay wet once they get damp. Label each box by room, and put what you will need first near the door. Our furniture storage page covers the bigger pieces.
